Voice onboarding. Ready in minutes.

ELLA automatically creates your venue structure, menus, tables, staff accounts and operational settings. Review, edit or continue by voice at any time.

You start by telling it what the place is. The example ELLA shows on its own landing page reads like this:

We’re a casual Mediterranean restaurant, open Mon–Sun 11am–11pm. Indoor 42 covers, outdoor patio 18. Kitchen has Grill, Prep and Pass; bar staff on evenings.

What comes back is a draft, not a live venue. Nothing is committed until you have read it. In ELLA’s own words: “I created a draft venue setup from your prompt. Please review and complete any missing details.” Anything it could not work out is marked incomplete rather than guessed at — “Table layout is not configured yet. Add table count or table names to create tables.”

What the setup covers

Each section opens for editing before you launch, and each one that is still empty says so.

ELLA describes the same scope itself when you ask it what it can do: “I can help you set up your business profile, menu, tables, zones, stations, staff, promotions, and operational setup.”

Orders reach the right station

Menu items are linked to stations, and that link is what activates routing — until an item is connected to one, ELLA says so rather than routing it anywhere. Each station carries its own rule: one receives production tickets for preparation before service handoff, another handles service-side fulfilment and front-of-house order flow.

Kitchen, bar and station staff each get their own live screen, and waiters get a queue of open service requests from the floor — including a guest asking to speak to someone about a dish.

Allergies reach the kitchen

This is the part most worth reading if you serve food to people with allergies, because it changes what your staff are handed.

When a guest with allergies sits down at one of your tables, a declaration is created for your venue. It is a separate record from the guest’s own profile, and it exists so your staff know before anything is ordered. The kitchen ticket is built from that declaration and never from the profile — a guest who keeps their profile private still has to get a meal made by someone who knows.

Severe entries print apart from ordinary ones, the guest is named on the ticket, and a record ELLA could not fully read says so, because a blank ticket cannot tell your chef the difference between “no allergies” and “we could not read them”.

On the manager board, a table turns red the moment a guest with a severe allergy sits down, and says who and what. Your waiter sees it too:

Severe allergy detected

Verifying your menu

Every item nobody at your venue has confirmed is flagged in the menu editor. Opening it shows what ELLA read from your menu, offers the fourteen allergens that UK and EU law requires a food business to declare, and records who confirmed it and when.

ELLA read this from your menu. Check it, add anything missing, then confirm.

A confirmation with nobody’s name against it is not a confirmation. Confirming that a dish contains none of the fourteen is treated as a positive statement, not a shrug — “ELLA found none. Confirming says this dish is free from all fourteen.” The menu header carries the running figure, Menu verified: N%, and until an item is verified your guests are told plainly that it is not.

The full allergy behaviour is written up here, including what ELLA will and will not claim about a dish.

Guests do not need your venue to be on ELLA

ELLA works from a photograph of a paper menu as well as from a venue’s own menu, so a guest can arrive already using it. What being on ELLA changes is that your menu becomes the source rather than a photograph of it, your staff can be called from the app, and the table session is live on your board.
